MOORCROFT – The Southeast High School volleyball team saw its season come to a close on Saturday in the consolation semifinal round of the 2A East Regional Tournament in Moorcroft.
The No. 3 seeded Lady Cyclones opened the weekend with a 3-2 victory over the Sundance Lady Bulldogs.

MOORCROFT – The Southeast High School volleyball team saw its season come to a close on Saturday in the consolation semifinal round of the 2A East Regional Tournament in Moorcroft.
The No. 3 seeded Lady Cyclones opened the weekend with a 3-2 victory over the Sundance Lady Bulldogs.
Southeast fell behind 2-0 before battling back to take a 3-2 (25-27, 15-25, 25-17, 25-22, 15-13) victory and advance to the semifinal round.
In the win, sophomore hitter Jordan Stoddard led the Cyclones with a team-high 16 kills, while freshman Sydney Anderson added seven. Stoddard also tallied six blocks. Junior Becca Foos and senior Morgan Ekwall tallied 18 digs each, while freshman Brenna Herring dished out 15 assists.
In the semifinal round, the Lady Hornets swept Southeast, 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-16).
Stoddard led the Lady Cyclones with 10 kills and three blocks. Herring added six kills and 10 assists.
The loss dropped Southeast to a must-win situation in the consolation semifinal against the Glenrock Lady Herders.
The teams traded set wins with Glenrock taking set one, but Southeast evened the score with a win in the second set.
Over the final two sets, the Lady Herders finished off Southeast, handing the Lady Cyclones a 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 25-18) loss.
The loss ended the Southeast season, and the Lady Cyclones finished the season with a 13-17 record.
