TORRINGTON – Kay Wiand, 75, died Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at the All Saint’s Episcopal Church with Reverend Brian Gross officiating. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be at a later date.
It was Kay’s wishes that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project instead of flowers.

Kay was born March 7, 1943, in Torrington, the daughter of Roy and Charlotte (Tate) Wiand.  She graduated from Torrington High School, Eastern Wyoming College and University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Kay served in the US Army at Arlington Hall Station with the Army Security Agency.  She spent nine years teaching at Dean Morgan Junior High in Casper until she moved back to Torrington in 1977, were she taught classes in English, history, and government until 2000.
Kay enjoyed reading, embroidery and music. She was a member of the All Saint’s Episcopal Church where she was also an organist. Kay was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her very special granddaughters, Lizzie and Sidney Wiand of Casper; her mother Charlotte of Torrington; her son Gary and his wife Jessica Wiand of Casper, and her brother Ed Wiand of Jackson.
