FORT WORTH, Texas – Our hearts our heavy to say that James Vernon Smith passed away from his battle with Alzheimer’s on Dec. 7 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Who was James Vernon Smith you ask? He was not just a father, a brother, a husband, an uncle, a father in-law, a grandfather and the newest title a great-grandfather. But to many of us he was our Friend with the most amazing heart and beautiful baby blue eyes.
A friend that we could count on and friend that had the wittiest sense of humor. He was always surrounded with family that loved him. From the day he was born until the day he passed. He was a man who was loved and many loved the who of who he was.
A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace, from someone who had made our world a brighter place. It’s filled with moments, sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears, with friendships formed and good times shared, and laughter through the years. A life well lived is a legacy of joy and pride and pleasure, a living, lasting memory our grateful heart’s will treasure. The gates of memory shall never close we miss you more than anyone knows.
Dad, brother, uncle, grandfather we love you and miss you. Enjoy your time in Heaven.
