TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Helen Lorraine Eisenbarth, 93, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at the First Congregational Church with Reverend Matthew Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Lorraine died May 10, 2023 at Community Hospital in Torrington. Memorials may be given to the First Congregational Church. The casket will be closed. Lorraine was born January 26, 1930 in Torrington the daughter of Martin and Katherine (Reifschneider) Schaneman. She joined a houseful of siblings on the family farm. She grew up and received her education in Torrington graduating with the Class of 1948. She married Herbert Eisenbarth on January 22, 1955 and was a devoted, loving wife. She was a marvelous housewife and mother to her two boys. Her hobby was cooking for others and she always kept and immaculate house. Lorraine made everybody welcome and visitors never left hungry.
Lorraine is survived by her two sons Byron (Shelly) Eisenbarth and Tim (Andrea) Eisenbarth; two siblings Elsie Hopp and Dick (Judy) Schaneman all of Torrington; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; three brothers; and five sisters.
