AFTON – The Torrington High School cross country teams wrapped up the season over the weekend at the Afton Valley View Golf Course, and Lady Blazer junior Sera Glass paced the team with a 40th-place finish.
Glasses time of 22 minutes, 23.4 seconds was nearly a full minute faster than senior Cora Frederick, who came home 56th in 23:20.9. Freshman Amberly Froerer was 73rd in 24:43.2, while junior Tyne Stokes placed 79th in 25:33. Senior Jenna Kaufman placed 80th in 25:36.6, while senior Bridgette Lowther was 84th in 26:28.9. Sophomore Jazmyne West rounded out the Lady Blazer roster with a 92nd place finish in 27.40.1.
As a team, the Lady Blazers finished 12th with 323 points. Cody won the team title with 52 points, while Star Valley was second with 69.
In the boys’ division, sophomore Michael Sandusky led the team with a 41st-place finish in a time of 19:05. Freshman Aydan Loya was thirty seconds back to finish 57th in 19:35.8. Senior Alexzander Ramieriz placed 93rd in 21:53.3, while sophomore Weston Cronk was 94th in 22:14. Senior Angle Alsides came home 95th in 22:14.6. Junior Timothy Randolph rounded out the Blazer squad with a 100th-place finish in 22:54.5.
As a team, the Blazers finished 14th with 374 points. Star Valley won the team title with 29, while Lander Valley was second with 58.
