TORRINGTON – Memorial services for Georgia Lea Allen, 90, will be announced at a later date. Georgia died at her home on March 18, 2020, and cremation has taken place. 

The family requests memorials to the Southeastern Wyoming Art Association. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements. 

Georgia was born March 16, 1930, in Adams (Gage County), Neb., to Wilson Earl and Mary Helen (DeBoer) McClun. She moved to the Table Mountain area in Wyoming with her family at the age of four. She graduated from Torrington High School in 1948. 

She married Clayton Allen on Oct. 24, 1953, in Douglas. She worked for the ASCS office and Bloedorn Lumber as a bookkeeper. She moved to Torrington in 1978.

Georgia loved creating art, cooking for her family and trying new things, painting, woodcarving, wood burning and doing pottery. She was a member of the Southeastern Wyoming Art Association.

Georgia is survived by her daughter Sandy Pittman, sons Jim (Brenda) Allen and Rodger Allen all of Torrington; granddaughters Jennifer (Jeff) Branson of Chadron, Neb., Sarah Pittman of Torrington and Amy Allen of Laramie; grandsons Ryan Allen and Tim (Caitlin) Allen of Torrington; great-grandsons Ayden Branson and Braylon Branson of Chadron and Clayton Pittman and Parker Allen of Torrington; great-granddaughter Raelynne Pittman of Torrington; sister Beth Eaton; and brother Jim McClun of Torrington. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clayton; a son-in-law; two brothers; three sisters; and a grandchild.
