TORRINGTON – Goshen Economic Development hosted its final Music on Main event Wednesday night in the parking lot on the southwest side corner of the intersection of East 21st Avenue and East A Street.

The event featured numerous food and drink vendors, a beer garden and bands Kid Shelleen and Area 308.

The event was the final event for the free summer concert series held this year.

“We think it was a great success,” Brayden Connour, CEO for Goshen Economic Development, told the Telegram. “More and more people came to each concert, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We really appreciate our sponsors for helping us put it on, our food and beer vendors for coming, Crossroads Music of Scottsbluff for scheduling the bands, Todd Werner for MC’ing the event, Troy Ayers for his volunteer work, Sandy Hoehn for starting the process, and a huge thank you to Chief Matt Johnson and the Torrington Police Department, Ed Hawley and the Torrington Streets Department and Mayor Randy Adams and the City Council for allowing this event to go forward.”

Connour says they hope to do this again next year and are hopeful they will be able to expand the event to include additional night.

“We appreciate the community support for the event and would like to thank everyone for coming downtown and enjoying the shows,” he said.

In a release on Facebook, Goshen Economic Development said, “We thank everyone who made the Music on Main Concert Series event happen. We could not have done it without the community’s support.
