TORRINGTON – The Eastern Wyoming College Foundation is now accepting registrations for the annual golf tournament to be held on Sunday, Aug. 22.
It is a four-person scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m.
Entry fee is $300 per team which includes one mulligan. Men use the blue tees and women use red tees. Teams must use each team member’s drive at least once per nine holes. The maximum individual handicap of men is 36 and 44 for women. Team handicap is equal to sum of member’s handicap divided by 8. Players are eligible to win gift certificates and hold prizes.
A steak dinner, Calcutta and auction will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. Funds raised benefit the EWC golf program and the EWC Foundation in support of students.
This year’s tournament will also feature a $20,000, 50-foot putting contest. Qualifications will take place from 1-7 p.m. Aug. 18-20 or on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 8:30 a.m – 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per chance or 5 chances for $20.
