GREELEY, Colo. – Dora Isabel Santillanes, 81, passed away at Medical Center of the Rockies on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
She was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on June 4, 1938, to Abel (Alice Encinias) Santillanes. The oldest of eight children, Dora grew up in Torrington, attended Torrington High School and later took classes at AIMS Community College. They were all dedicated to their work, so Dora worked for Kodak for 20 years, then Zales for 20 years and achieved top salesperson of the year, and 20 years as accounting clerk for Weld County Social Services.
Dora was soft spoken, but spoke loudly with her clothing, which she loved to shop for. She loved her dogs; Mitzi and Daisy. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Greeley.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Connie, Rebecca, Jerry and Gene. Dora is survived by her son Michael Rojas of Greeley. Her siblings; Elma (Tony) Servantez of Torrington, Abel Santillanes of Douglas, and Elsie (Tony) Gonzalez of Cheyenne.
