CHEYENNE – Donna Lou Lovercheck, 90, died Feb. 13, 2019 at her apartment in Primrose Retirement Center in Cheyenne.

Donna was born Jan. 7, 1929, in Anthem, Iowa. Her family relocated to Mitchell, Neb., where she obtained her elementary and secondary education. She married Donald Dean Lovercheck on May 23, 1951, and spent the remainder of her life as a rancher. She became known as a taskmaster who devoted tremendous energy to ranch life.

Donna and Dean had two sons, Ronald Martin and Otis Dean, who grew up with their mother as their biggest fan. She never missed any of their sporting events and could be heard screaming as they competed in athletic events. Her other interests were Eastern Star, where she progressed through all the chairs, playing pinochle with her card group, and traveling with Dean in their motor home. She loved hosting family dinners for her siblings and their families and continued this practice for her sons.

Donna’s devotion to her sons extended to her grandchildren whom she adored and catered to. Raedene and Justin, Tanis and Keylee spent many of their summer hours at the CP ranch. During these summers, Donna and Dean would take the kids camping, boating and fishing. Donna was devoted to her family.
