TORRINGTON – Street repair contracts and a liquor license transfer headlined the Torrington City Council meeting Tuesday evening, Feb. 6. More than $150,000 was approved for surface repair projects on several streets from the Vistas to West 14th Avenue.
Following a brief public hearing during which there were no comments, the Council voted unanimously to transfer the liquor license from 77 Capital Corp dba Spirits Sports Bar & Grill to 307 Sports Bar & Grill, LLC dba 307 Sports Bar & Grill. The business, located in the truck stop east of Torrington on Highway 26, is now operated by Charlie and Julie Harshberger
Several city streets will benefit from chip seal and crack fill preservation projects this year.
