TORRINGTON – Charles “Skip” Franklin Huston, 71, of Torrington passed away Dec. 25, 2017 at Banner Medical Center in Fort Collins, Colo.
Skip was born Nov. 30, 1946, in Torrington, the son of John Clarence and Thelma Irene (Grady) Huston. He graduated Cheyenne East High School in 1965. In 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon Honorable Discharge in 1972, Skip studied agronomy at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
It was in Laramie where he met the love of his life, Reva Kay Parker. He married Reva on April 14, 1975 in Douglas. Skip lived in Wyoming, working with cattle on ranches, mostly. Skip and Reva raised their grandsons Brice and Kyle Anderson and their great-niece Tammi (Dry) Lopez. After Reva passed away, Skip moved to Fort Collins to live with his grandson, Kyle.
Skip is survived by daughters LaDonna (Bobby) Buckley of Crawford, Neb., and Loretta Snell of Grand Island, Neb.; grandchildren Brice (Dorothy) Turner of Torrington, Kyle Anderson of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jessica Stubbs of Grand Island; three great-grandchildren; a sister Peggy Ann Moore of Idaho; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Skip was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Kay (Parker) Huston, seven brothers: Jack, William, Robert, Richard, George, and James Huston, and four sisters: Neva Warner, Shirley Huston, Bonnie Beasneatte,and Vicki Nash.
Skip’s grandson, Kyle, has planned a celebration of life at his home, 705 Maple St. Unit A, Fort Collins, CO 80521 at 11 a.m. Jan. 21, 2018. In lieu of flowers, please send cards or donations to Kyle.
