TORRINGTON – Bruce Hattan, 78, peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Graveside services will be held November 3 at 2pm at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lingle with Pastor Rick Carroll officiating. He was born February 26, 1943 to Lyman Lee and Virginia Cochran Hattan Anderson. He was raised on his family’s farm in Veteran where he participated in cross country and basketball for Veteran High School and graduated in 1961. He married Davone Houver on November 12, 1967 and together they had a son Travis in 1970. He worked for the Wyoming Department of Agriculture and after retirement worked summers for the Goshen Weed and Pest. Some of Bruce’s hobbies included trapping, hunting and fishing with family and friends, but his favorite thing in life was being a husband and father and most of all spending time with his two grandchildren. 

Bruce is survived by his wife Davone of Torrington; son Travis (Samantha) Hattan of Lingle; grandchildren Hunter and Ashlee Hattan; nieces Jennifer Stevens, Amanda (Chris) Barber, Dawn Hattan, Tracy (Chris) DeLancy, Tracy (Kevin) Starr; nephews Marty (Amber)Taylor, Barry (Melissa) Armstrong; brother Jerry (Donna) Hattan of Torrington; cousins Bob (Julie) Oaks of Yoder, Jack (Dorothy) Oaks of Riverton, Roger (Tami) Brown, Tracy (Coleen) Brown, Steve (Janice) Brown all of Lingle; and brother-in-law Ron (Judy) Houver of Clemmons, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal and maternal grandparents; and a sister Naomi (Hattan) Taylor.
