TORRINGTON – I’m back to where my professional career started.
In April of 2012, I had really no clue what I was getting into when I made the move from Kansas to Wyoming. Outside of some freelance work, I didn’t have much experience in the journalism field.
With a lot of patience from Rob Mortimore and Jeff Robertson, I felt like I found my place in the newspaper business in a short amount of time.
When I first moved to Torrington in the spring of that year, I had set a goal for myself of two years and then moving on to greener pastures. However, the two years went by quickly, and I found out I was having a good time. I had made a lot of new friends, and I felt like things were going well. So, I decided to stick around a little longer.
Finally, in July of 2015, the Chanute (Kan.) Tribune called – my hometown newspaper.
