TORRINGTON – Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Elisa Carabajal, 98, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Saint Rose Catholic Church with Father Dan Kostelc officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Alice died April 9, 2023 at Community Hospital in Torrington. A Rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. prior to the mass. The casket will be closed. Alice was born February 24, 1925 in Limon, Colorado the daughter of Genaro and Catalina (Roman) Palato. The family moved to Huntley. Alice married Steve Carabajal and they moved to Torrington, where she lived until her death.
Alice enjoyed collecting clocks, watches, and dolls and listening to music. She crocheted a lot which she donated to different charities. She was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church.
Alice is survived by daughters Kathleen Caliguri of Fairborn, Ohio and Rebecca Chavez of Gering, Nebraska; sons Robert Carabajal and David Carabajal both of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Louie Carabajal of Torrington; nineteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three children; six brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter.
