WHEATLAND – The high school rodeo fall season wrapped up Saturday and Sunday in Wheatland, and for a pair of Goshen County high school athletes, they the fall portion of the schedule with a win.
On Saturday, Blake Afdahl, along with Clay Reiner, Buffalo, won team roping in 6.880 seconds, edging Torrington duo of Jared and Bryan Lemmon who finished second in 7.030 seconds.
Haiden Thompson also claimed second in 18.217 seconds in barrel racing, while Kadra Clark finished third in breakaway roping in 3.190 seconds.
On Sunday, Afdahl won tie-down roping in 10.870 seconds, while Thompson won breakaway roping in 2.440 seconds.
The high school rodeo season resumes action in Laramie in the spring.
