CHEYENNE – Goshen County and surrounding areas of eastern Wyoming and western Nebraska are under a Winter Weather Advisory through Saturday evening, according to information from the National Weather Service office in Cheyenne.
Additionally, portions of south-eastern Wyoming, including parts of Platte and Laramie counties, are under a Winter Storm Warning. Both the advisory and warning stretch from Friday evening through 8 p.m. Saturday night.
Snowfall amounts from 3- to 5-inches are anticipated for the advisory areas, with as much as 10 inches predicted for the warning areas. Additionally, as much as 14-inches of snow could be anticipated at elevations above 8,500 feet.
Expect hazardous travel conditions in both the advisory and warning areas, with icy, snow-packed roads accompanied by periods of extreme low visibility.
