CASPER – The three Goshen County schools all have several track and field athletes set to compete in the state invitational in Casper this weekend, giving locals fans a lot to cheer for.

Torrington

Starting on the track for the Blazer boys, Brett Posten is the lone runner in the 100-meter dash, while Bo Moorehouse is set to run in both the 200 and 400. Aaron Borger joins Moorehouse in the 400, while also running in the 800. Pake Haun will look to hold down the fort for Torrington in the upper distances, running in both the mile and two-mile.

Also on the track, Bryan Lemmon will run in the 110-meter hurdles.

Lemmon is also on two relay teams. He is joined by Moorehouse, Posten and Kevin Parish for the 400-meter relay, while he competes with Moorehouse, Borger and Matthew Garcia in the 1600-meter sprint medley. In the 1600-meter relay, Posten, Parish, Garcia and Cameron Juma are set to compete. Haun, Juma, Garcia and Borger are the foursome for the 3200-meter relay for the Blazer boys.

Moving to the field events, Lemmon will also compete in the high jump, joined by fellow teammate Casey Britton. Quentin Meyer and Cade Schwartzkopf will both test their skills in the pole vault. A trio of Torrington throwers will compete in Casper, with Corbin Harris, Jacob Wamboldt and Nathaniel Woodruff all participating in the shot put. Wamboldt and Harris will compete in the discus as well.

For the Lady Blazers, Onalise Albaugh and Latosha Wiford have had strong showings in the sprints. Albaugh will run in the 100 and 200, while Wiford is slated for both the 200 and 400. Sera Glass has had a dominant season in the distance events and she will look to continue that trend in Casper, competing in the 800, 1600 and 3200.

HeLena McGaugh rounds out the individual competitors on the track, with a spot in the 300-meter hurdles.

The Lady Blazers have a team competing in all four relays. Starting with the 400-meter relay, Albaugh, McGaugh, Wiford and Samantha Hill are set to run. In the 1600-meter relay, McGaugh runs with Emily McGaugh, Katie Wiford and Adia Sherbeyn. Sherbeyn, Emily McGaugh and Katie Wiford are joined by Sera Glass for the 3200-meter relay. For the 1600-meter sprint medley, Hailey Boslau, Katie Wiford, Latosha Wiford and Sherbeyn will form a team.

A trio of Torrington girls qualified for the pole vault event. Nakalyn Garner, Katie Wiford and Albaugh will all represent the Lady Blazers in the event. Hill and Renee Cline are both slated for the triple jump.

Southeast

For the Southeast boys, Kaden Malm is the only Cyclone to qualify in the 100-meter dash, but he is not the only sprinter. Chase Lovercheck and Brady and Brant Fullmer will all compete in the 400. Lovercheck will also run in the 800 and he is joined by Hayden Anderson for the event.

D.J. Homer, Reece Robertson, Sawyer Anderson and Luke Haas will join forces for the 400-meter relay in Casper. Southeast’s 1600-meter relay team of Malm, Lovercheck and Brady and Brant Fullmer qualified, while Hayden Anderson took the place of Malm for the qualified 3200-meter relay. In the 1600-meter sprint medley, Hayden Anderson, Malm and Brady and Brant Fullmer will represent the Cyclones.

Hailey Anderson is the lone representative for the Lady Cyclones in the shorter distances, competing in both the 200 and 400. Jaiden Hopkins will also run in two individual events on the track, competing in the mile and two-mile. Kelci Lovercheck will also compete in the 3200.

Anderson and Lovercheck are set to be joined by Macie Murphy and Ellie Schmitt for the 1600-meter relay. Hopkins takes the place of Murphy for Southeast’s 3200-meter relay.

Sheela Flury is the lone Lady Cyclone jumper to qualify and she will compete in the triple jump. Three Southeast girls will all throw in Casper. Morgan Ekwall is slated for the shot put, while Kylie Carson and Candee Coxbill will throw in the discus.

Lingle-Fort Laramie

Landen Fuller will represent the Doggers in four individual events on the track, competing in the 100, 200, 400 and 800. He is joined by Hayden Hill and Ty Mueller in the 100, while Gaven Niles and Kelly Peterson are both slated for the 800. Peterson also earned a spot in the 1600.

Also on the track, Rhett Greenwald earned a spot in the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles. He will be joined in the longer event by Cole Shepardson.

Shepardson also has a spot in two relays for L-FL. He is joined by Niles and Cooper and Hayden Hill for the 400-meter relay and Peterson, Niles and Greenwald for the 1600-meter relay. In the 1600-meter sprint medley, Niles, Shepardson, Peterson and Hayden Hill qualified for state. Rayden Alonzo, Caeden Riley, Cooper Hill and Elias Dodson linked up to earn a spot at state for the 3200-meter relay.

In the field events, Greenwald earned a spot in the pole vault. Mueller and Cooper Hill will both compete in both the long jump and triple jump, while Hayden Hill earned a spot in the long jump as well.

Riley and Cordell Forkner will both compete in the discus, while Forkner will be joined by Alonzo and Dodson in the shot put.

Similar to Fuller on the boys side, Kaelyn Riley will look to hold down the fort for the Lady Doggers in the shorter distances, competing in the 100, 200 and 400. She will be joined by Kalli Nichol for the 400. Moving to the upper distances, Cora Frederick earned a spot in three events. She is set to run in the 800, 1600 and 3200. Jenna Kaufman will also compete in the 800, while Jenny Manus joins Frederick for the mile.

Kaylan Maez earned a spot in the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles.

Maez also has a spot on the 1600-meter sprint medley, where she is joined by Kaufman, Shelby Heilbrun and Jordyn Gaspers. In the shortest relay, Nichol, Katelyn Seyfang, Shelly Ann Sorrick and Emily Hatch earned a spot in Casper. Heilbrun, Kaufman, Manus and Riley will link up for the 1600-meter relay, while Kaufman, Manus and Heilbrun join forces with Frederick for the 3200-meter relay.

Heilbrun also qualified for the high jump and she will be joined in the event by fellow Lady Doggers Nichol and Gaspers. Gaspers was a field extraordinaire, also qualifying for the long jump and triple jump. Nichol and Maez both earned a spot in the pole vault competition. Savannah Mirich is the lone L-FL thrower in the girls division, throwing in both the shot put and discus.
