Iva Lee Kahler

Iva Lee Kahler, 74, died on Jan. 22 at her home in Torrington. At her request no services will be held. Colyer Funeral Home handled cremation arrangements.
Iva was born on May 5, 1935, in Glendo the daughter of Walter and Julia Ann (Boyd) Robbins. She grew up and attended school at Glendo. She married Everett Kahler on Sept. 13, 1952, in Douglas. The couple lived at Glendo where they farmed and Iva also drove school bus for Glendo School District for many years. The family then moved to a farm near Lingle, Wyoming for a few years before moving to Torrington in 1994. The couple then later divorced and Iva remained living in Torrington.
Iva enjoyed music, oil painting, and she had many collectibles.
She is survived by her two daughters, Melinda and her husband David Sims of Torrington; and Sheryl and her husband Glen Davis of Riverton; a sister, Glenna Mae Smith of Kirwin, Kan.; a brother Gene Robbins of Glendo; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, and a sister, Clo Anna Pawling.
