TORRINGTON – With the district facing a loss of more than $637,000 in funding next year, Goshen County School District #1 Superintendent Jean Chrostoski is requesting community input on a new school funding survey.
The survey asks about reductions in a variety of areas, from athletics to course options in middle and high schools and cutbacks in central office services. Participants are asked to rank those possible reductions on a scale from one to five, not acceptable to acceptable, on the survey.
Results of the survey will be presented to GCSD #1 trustees and to local legislators. The survey is adapted from a similar effort in another school district to fit Goshen County schools, Chrostoski said.
The survey is available via the link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/JMKTQ5M
