TORRINGTON – The Eastern Wyoming College Board of Trustees approved the resignation of board president Lowell Kautz during a special meeting Monday, called to address issues created by the resignation.
In an email to the board, Kautz cited health and family issues as reason for his resignation and wished the board well in all its future endeavors. Kautz was elected to the board in 2012, became board president in 2016 and was re-elected to that position in January.
In response to Kautz’s resignation, and to maintain its continuity of governance, the board elected John Patrick to replace Kautz as president, Marilyn Fisher was elected vice president and Angie Chavez was chosen as secretary.
