TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Ruth Ann Fogleman, 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jill Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The casket will be open briefly following the service.
Mrs. Fogleman died at home on Feb. 4, 2017.
Ruth was born April 29, 1942, in Torrington, the daughter of Thomas and Flossie (Pounds) Briggs. She grew up and received her education in Huntley, where she graduated high school in 1960. She attended college in Torrington for a year before going back to the family farm.
She married Paul Urbanek and they were later divorced. She married Larry Fogleman on April 2, 1977. They lived and worked in Torrington. Mr. Fogleman died in September 1998.
Mrs. Fogleman enjoyed making blankets, quilting, bowling with Mr. Fogleman and was a garage sale enthusiast. She was a member of the Jolly Juniors Club.
She is survived by her children Jody Lee Briggs of Douglas, Cindy Hiegel, Dianne Finch and Kenneth (KayLynn) Fogleman, all of Torrington, and Kimberly (Anthony) Prosser of Salida, Colo.; brothers Howard (Imogene) Briggs of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Vernon (Darlene) Briggs of Gering, Neb.; a sister-in-law Helen Briggs of Morrill, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fogleman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Larry; two brothers Everett Briggs and David Briggs; and a sister Agnes Clark.
