TPD: Cracking the case in a small community

TORRINGTON – Criminal investigators in a small community may face challenges that larger departments don’t, but that doesn’t mean a small department can’t effectively investigate local crimes, according to Torrington Police Department (TPD) Detective Lieutenant Doug Weeks.

“You go to a big department and they’ll have a homicide division and a robbery division and a patrol division,” Weeks, who has been an investigator with TPD since 2008, said.
