Posted: Wednesday, Nov 6th, 2013

The Lingle-Fort Laramie Lady Doggers celebrate after junior Gabby Wollert scored the game-winner with a block point to force a fifth game against Cokeville Saturday evening at the Casper Events Center.

CASPER – For the second straight season, the Lingle-Fort Laramie (LFL) Lady Doggers came up short in the Class 1A state volleyball championship game to the Cokeville Lady Panthers by a score of 3-2.

“We finished 24-6. It could have been 25-5, but it wasn’t,” coach Barb Clark said. “Cokeville has always been a tough team and always will be. Bill [Thompson] does some fine coaching.”

The Lady Doggers had to defeat the Burlington Lady Huskies and the Little Snake River Lady Rattlers in order to set up the rematch from the 2012 title match.
