Photo/ American Heritage Center - In 1920, this marker, commemorating the 1914 marking of the Oregon Trail and the 1866 death of U.S. Army officer Caspar Collins, was unveiled by the Fort Caspar Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It is just one of several historical photographs featured in the Wyoming State Historical Society’s 2014 calendar of Wyoming history.

TORRINGTON – Once again, the Wyoming State Historical Society, a nonprofit, membership-driven educational organization, has partnered with the American Heritage Center and created a wonderful calendar of Wyoming history.

With more than a dozen historical photographs, some never before published, and a tidbit on every single day noting “what happened and where,” the calendar makes for a very well-received gift.
