Cyclone’s offense sputters in loss

Southeast senior defensive end Travis Jinks forces Burns quarterback Paden Wilson out of the pocket Friday evening.

YODER – When it rains, it pours.

That was the storyline for both the weather and for the Southeast Cyclone offense in the 14-0 season-opening loss Friday night to the Burns Broncs.

After an hour and 40 minute weather delay, things started looking up as the game kicked off.

Senior quarterback Wyatt Somsen highlighted the first quarter with a 27-yard run on a third-and-four situation, but the drive stalled and forced Southeast to punt.
