TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Beulah M. Arp, 89, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the United Methodist Church of Torrington where she was a member. The Rev. Ora M. Dailey will officiate, and interment will be at Valley View Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to either the United Methodist Church, Torrington or to the Goshen County Library Foundation.
Beulah passed away May 8, 2013 in Torrington. She was born Jan. 10, 1924 to Lovell (L.L.) and Opal Beatrice (Shaffer) Reynolds in the Charleston, W.V. area where she received her high school education and then went on to business school.
She met Gene F. Arp of Torrington in Dayton, Ohio when he was in pilot’s training for the U.S. Army Air Corp and she was a stenographer at Wright Patterson Army Air Corp Base. They married on March 12, 1945, in Savannah, Ga. and then moved to Torrington.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Gene; daughters Deidre Connell of Lutz, Fla., and Dianne (Derrell) Riley of Cincinnati, Ohio; sons Randal (Pat) of Torrington and Bryan (Julie) of Cheyenne; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three nieces on the West Coast. Her parents, two stepmothers and her sister, Betty Nichols, preceded her in death.
