NRCS looks to improve water efficiency

TORRINGTON In Laramie County, the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) is trying to curb water use from the Ogallala aquifer.

The aquifer underlies an area of approximately 174,000 square miles that extends through parts of eight states, from southern South Dakota, southeast Wyoming, a major portion of Nebraska and then south through parts of Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
