Barb Sterkel - From a snowed-in school to a Pepsi distributor

TORRINGTON – Growing up on the Iowa Center Flats above Lone Tree Canyon, Barbara Sterkel learned the advantages of hard work and a close-knit family. Her grandfather, Grant Pense, homesteaded the area in 1898, and her father Alba eventually took over the ranch and raised his family on the flats.
