TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Frank W. Adams, 89, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the All Saints Episcopal Church with Father Tim Solon officiating. Burial will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering, Neb.
Frank died March 6, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb. A memorial has been established to All Saints Episcopal Church. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frank was born Aug. 7, 1923 in Tabor, Iowa, the son of George and Hazel (Hinshaw) Adams. His family moved to Gering in 1927, and he grew up there, graduating Gering High School in 1941.
He served in the military during WWII, and, upon his discharge, returned to Gering and married Martha Montgomery on Feb. 16, 1947. He worked at the R&M Lumber Yard in LaGrange before moving to Colorado, Idaho and Oregon for a time.
While in Idaho, he started work for Boise Cascade and continued with them while in Oregon. In 1964, he moved to Torrington, where he went back to work for R&M Lumber. He retired in 1993 when the store sold.
Frank was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, the American Legion and the Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf.
Frank is survived by two sons, George Montgomery Adams and his wife Kathy of Torrington, and Patrick Earl Adams and his wife Lynsey of England; a sister, Lela Quimby of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren, George Montgomery Adams Jr. and his wife Maggie of Harrison, Neb. and Rose Ann Johnston and her husband Jeremiah of Skiatook, Okla.; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha; and two sisters, Harriet McDonald and Mary Lou Reiher.
