USPS to move to five-day delivery schedule

TORRINGTON – Due to major financial deficits, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced a new delivery schedule beginning in August 2013, which is expected to save $2 billion annually. Starting then, mail delivery will only occur on Monday through Friday, eliminating mail delivery on Saturdays.
