SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – Beverly J. Parish, 80, of Scottsbluff, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center. In keeping with her wishes, her remains were cremated and no services will be held.

Bev was born March 8, 1932 in Lincoln, Neb. to M. Purl and Lois (Clifford) Gibbs. She moved with her family to Scottsbluff in 1939, where she grew up and was educated.
She married Bernard Parish Oct. 28, 1951, and the family lived in Lingle. The couple later divorced, and, in 1973, Beverly moved to Scottsbluff, attended nursing school and earned her licensed practical nurse certification. She worked at Regional West Medical Center for over 20 years. She lived in Gering, Neb. until moving to Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff in 2009.
Bev loved to ride motorcycles, camp, boat and do scrapbooking projects, but her first priority was always her family.
She was a former member of the Oregon Trail Church of the Nazarene in Gering, had served as a foster grandparent and was a former member of the B.P.O.E. Does in Torrington.
She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Carol) Parish of Torrington and Tom (Mary Ann) Parish of Cheyenne; her daughter, Charlene (Wesley) LaFreniere of Denver, Colo. and a sister, Barbara Babcock of Scottsbluff. She is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Her parents and two grandchildren, Cassie Parish and Christopher LaFreniere, preceded her in death.
