THS wrestling places sixth

Torrington’s Kayce Lay faces Southeast’s Chase Cushman in the first round of the 152-pound weight class at the Lingle Invitational on Friday afternoon. Cushman won the match 6-3.

LINGLE – The Torrington Blazers junior varsity wrestling squad finished sixth out of 19 teams at the two-day Lingle Invitational wrestling tournament last weekend.

Evan Ponce and Benjamin Loya finished a combined 7-0 to win their respective weight classes.
