Murphy signs with Wayne State

TORRINGTON – Torrington Tigers infielder Austin Murphy recently signed a national letter of intent to continue his baseball playing career for the Wayne State College (WSC) Wildcats in Wayne, Neb.

Murphy is a five-foot, 10-inch third baseman who batted .306 and led the Tigers American Legion team with 19 RBIs during the team’s 7-20 season.
