Winter Weather Advisory for Goshen County effective from 5 a.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday.





THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM FRIDAY TO 11 AM MST SATURDAY.



* TIMING... FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.



* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... 3 TO 6 INCHES ON THE PLAINS... WITH 4 TO 8 INCHES OVER NORTH FACING SLOPES OF THE NORTH LARAMIE RANGE. PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE MAY PRECEDE THE SNOW OVER THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE.



* WINDS/VISIBILITIES... NORTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH MAY REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO UNDER ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.



* IMPACTS... CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL RESULT IN AREAS OF REDUCED VISIBILITIES. THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS ARE URGED TO RECONSIDER AS ROADS WILL BECOME SLICK AND SNOW COVERED. TRAVEL MAY BECOME DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING... ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS AND WHEN APPROACHING AND DRIVING OVER RAILROAD CROSSINGS.
