TORRINGTON – Less spending and more efficiency is Gov. Matt Mead’s target for the upcoming state budget.
Mead submitted his supplemental budget proposal to the legislature early last week, calling for, among other items, a 6-percent annual reduction of ongoing general fund spending, which would reduce expenses by about $60 million per year.
