Post office announces hour cuts

File - It has been estimated that by eliminating Saturday mail deliveries, an additional $3 billion could be cut from the postal service’s current fiscal deficit.

FORT LARAMIE – New post office hours for Fort Laramie and Hartville have been set and will go into effect on Jan. 12; weekday hours will be significantly cut for both the Fort Laramie and Hartville post offices.

The new hours for Fort Laramie will be 8:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday.
