Cyclones blow past Tigers

Modified: Wednesday, Nov 14th, 2012

Senior running back Zach Eisenbarth rushed for 186 yards and four touchdowns on 17 attempts Saturday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium.

LARAMIE – The Niobrara County Tigers had no answer for Zach Eisenbarth, who helped the Southeast Cyclones finish the 2012 season with their fifth state title in seven years.

Eisenbarth, a senior running back, scored on runs of 53, 36, 2 and 45 yards in the final game of his high school career. His day ended with 186 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 17 attempts during a 40-6 rout Saturday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.

“I have to give all the credit in the world to the offensive line,” Eisenbarth said. “They gave me massive holes all year long, and they blocked their butts off for me.”

The senior running back put the Cyclones on the board with 56 seconds remaining in the first quarter when Eisenbarth broke free for a 53-yard dash to the end zone.

The Tigers responded with a six-minute, 69 yard march down the field. On the drive, the Tigers picked up two fourth-down conversions.
