Lady Lancers open season with win

Eastern Wyoming College’s Jai Chandler powers to the basket on Saturday in a 91-39 victory over the Wyoming All-Stars.

TORRINGTON – The Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) Lady Lancers thrashed the Wyoming All-Stars 91-39 to open the season on Saturday.

The Lady Lancers used a 15-4 first half run and a 14-0 second half run in the win.

Sophomore Brittani Colberg knocked down a 3-pointer just three minutes into the game that put the Lady Lancers in front 10-7.

Colberg’s three sparked a 15-4 run that extended the EWC lead to 25-11.

Colberg scored seven straight points in the final moments of the first half to extend the Lady Lancers lead to more than 20.

The Lady Lancers started the second half on the same way they ended the first, on a run.
