Courtesy - A fistfight breaks out during the middle of thrashing in Custer County, Neb., sometime in the 1930s. Relatives of Torringtonís Gordon Schloatman on his motherís side were involved. Schloatman said one of the combatants wore a bandanna to prevent getting a farmerís tan and was called a sissy. This led to the fight. Schloatman said the worker simply didnít want to go back to school with a tan.
