Blazers fall short against Tigers

TORRINGTON – Torrington Trailblazers quarterback William Anderson went 13-for-26 for 115 yards and one touchdown for the Torrington Trailblazers in a 10-7 loss to the Lander Valley Tigers on Friday.

For the game, the Blazers committed 10 penalties for 75 yards.

Two of those came on their opening drive, after holding the Tigers to a quick three-and-out. Those two straight penalties backed the Blazers deep inside their own territory on third down.

On the ensuing Tigers’ possession, the Blazers defense allowed the Tigers to drive down to the 2-yard line.

The Blazers defense stepped up to the challenge and held the Tigers to just a field goal with 2:38 remaining in the first quarter.
