TORRINGTON – New dietary guidelines for school meals are causing criticism from students and parents alike.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture made the first major changes in school meals in 15 years with the aim of raising healthier children. Signed by President Barack Obama and championed by the First Lady, Michelle Obama, the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 has hit home for trustees on the Goshen County School Board.
