Commissioners assess state fire funding - Fire warden credits residents for handling fire ban

TORRINGTON – Fire weather hasn’t let up yet, and with the cost of firefighting on the rise, Goshen County officials are taking action.

To assist local departments in fire suppression, the Goshen County Commission approved a payment of about $24,000 for an initial assessment to enter the county into the state fire suppression account.
