On Friday, July 13, in the Torrington Telegram, you printed a religion column about “What does the Bible say about abortion?”
I would refer your readers to Isaiah 49 in its entirety. Questions I would like answered on this most controversial topic are: If abortion is the answer to all the problems with an unwanted pregnancy why are women suffering from the procedure: mentally, emotionally and physically?
Good answers provide excellent, healthful, helpful advice.
Why when abortion is used for birth control are repeated abortions performed.
Good birth control generally works.
Why is there guilt and the need for support groups and counseling after this procedure?
Why is having one-third of our population missing a good idea when we need good citizens, taxpayers, workers – skilled and unskilled?
How could any clergy counsel “yes” on this issue when adoptive parents are crying for babies to adopt?
How much money is made by the abortion industry if this is a compassionate thing?
Many loving things I have experienced do not have a price tag.
My heart goes out to any women or men who have made a decision to abort. I realize there are complicated and very serious reasons. I sincerely believe there are better solutions in a civilized society.
