Web-first update: Camp Guernsey fire started Saturday

GUERNSEY - A fire that burned more than 1,000 acres as of Sunday.



According to a release from the Wyoming Army National Guard, a fire started near Sawmill Canyon at the Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center on Saturday. Camp Guernsey fire personnel as well as local firefighters from the Arapaho fire came the camp's aid. The Wyoming Department of Corrections Smoke Busters also assisted in fighting the fire.



The cause of the fire is under investigation.
