The Comprehensive Community Coalition is currently working with the Wyoming Department of Health, the Community Resource Center of Johnson County, local law enforcement and other stakeholders on a Comprehensive Prevention Needs Assessment for Goshen County.
This process is part of a statewide Prevention Needs Assessment to best determine what the strengths and gaps are for Goshen County surrounding alcohol, tobacco and other drug use; as well as suicide prevention.
The CCC would like to thank City Councilman Randy Adams for his involvement with the CCC and his commitment to address the prevention health and wellness needs of the city of Torrington and Goshen County. Mr. Adams’ dedication to the community and its people has been shown through his countless years as a teacher and his transparent and devoted service to the Torrington City Council.
As a member of the CCC, he is always questioning what is being done for the community as a whole, how to get the best return on investment for the state funding that we receive and how to target helping youth and their families in the community.
There are several community coalitions in the state that are not fortunate enough to have a city councilman as an active member; the CCC is pleased to be able to be one of the coalitions that has a healthy working relationship with a city councilman and has the enhanced benefit of knowing that Councilman Randy Adams and the Torrington City Council are dedicated to preventing alcohol, tobacco and drug use and helping keep the community of Torrington a safe and healthy place.
On behalf of the CCC and the community of Torrington, we would like to thank Councilman Randy Adams for his dedicated and honorable service.
