The Southeast girls held Lingle-Fort Laramie to 10 second-half points en route to a 34-28 victory Saturday in Yoder.

Lingle-Fort Laramie came out strong, scoring the first four points of the contest and never allowed Southeast to lead in the first eight minutes.

The Cyclones did tie the contest on buckets from Hallie Burkart, but Kylah Meyer notched four of the final six points to give the Doggers a 10-8 lead at the end of the quarter.

After a Hailie Pragnell bucket tied the contest at 10-all with 7:33 left in the second quarter, Lingle-Fort Laramie went on a 5-0 run – on a hoop from Kaylee Greenwald and a three-pointer from Shaylee Rickard – to give the visiting Doggers a 15-10 lead with 5:22 remaining.

Burkart ended the Doggers’ run with 4:43 left, but Rickard hit 2-of-2 at the charity stripe and Greenwald added 1-of-2 to push Lingle-Fort Laramie’s lead to 18-12 – the Doggers’ biggest lead of the night.

Southeast responded with the final three points of the half to cut the Doggers’ lead to 18-15 at intermission, and the Cyclones continued their run in the third.
