Former area Legion baseball players Travis Mortimore and Bo Bowman are scheduled to put on a hitting and pitching clinic at the West Nebraska Field of Dreams Indoor Practice Facility in Scottsbluff, Neb., Monday and Tuesday.

The two-day clinic is available for all age groups and will feature two 90-minute sessions each evening with the first session kicking off at 6 p.m. and the second starting at 7:30 p.m.

Mortimore, a 2003 graduate of Torrington High School and former Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Pitcher of the Year at Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., is currently a relief pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization after being selected in the 21st round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft and will handle the pitching clinic while Bowman, a 2003 graduate of Scottsbluff High School, starred for the Twin City Zephyrs (Scottsbluff) in Legion ball and continued his career at the University of Louisiana-Monroe before being selected in the 22nd round of the 2007 draft by the Colorado Rockies will handle the hitting clinic.

Mortimore finished his second full season in the Mariners organization at Advanced ‘A’ High Desert in the California League last year while Bowman played for the Tri-City Dust Devils of the Northwest League in Class ‘A’ short-season.

The clinic will cost $30 for just the hitting or the pitching camp or $50 for the pitching and hitting combination for non-members of the West Nebraska Field of Dreams Indoor Practice Facility and $20 per aspect or $35 for the combination for members.
