The Lingle-Fort Laramie wrestling squad won seven of the nine matches wrestled against Gering (Neb.) Tuesday in Lingle, but took forfeits at four weight classes en route to a 42-37 loss.
Remaining unbeaten on the season were senior Mike Hill and junior Brodey Serres for Lingle-Fort Laramie.
Hill pinned Dylan Bairn in 45 seconds at 285 pounds while Serres took care of Domingo Torres at 140 pounds in 51 seconds.
Also winning via pin were Jesse Duncan at 160 pounds, Jesse Wilhelm at 135 pounds and Thomas Garvie at 103 pounds.
Duncan defeated Avery Petit in 56 seconds while Garvie pinned Kyle Hemphill in 51 seconds. Wilhelm pinned Marco Garcia in 4:50.
At 171 pounds, Dogger Tyler Arnett grabbed a 13-9 decision over Gering’s Zach Miller while Weston Louth, 145 pounds, defeated Steven Garcia, 14-5.
Dogger Joel Kearns fell to Rusty Foster at 189 pounds in 2:31 while Richard Brown (119 pounds) lost to Ryan Bustinza in 4:10 and David Goeken fell to Jose Anaya at 125 pounds in 21 seconds.
In two exhibition matches Tuesday, Lingle-Fort Laramie’s Taylen Arnett pinned Tom Jacobs in 2:35 and Corey Hill lost to Jose Hernandez at 130 pounds, 11-10.
