TORRINGTON – The Torrington Lady Trailblazers won their third straight game and fifth in their last six as they won in straight sets, 25-17, 25-15, 25-10 over the Wheatland Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Blazers (15-8) trailed only once in the game.
In game one, Torrington jumped on Wheatland quickly taking an early 5-0 lead. Wheatland scored the the next two points, but the Lady Blazers later extended their lead to as many as seven.
Game two was a carbon copy.
Madden’s kill gave the Lady Blazers a 12-6 lead that led to a Lady Bulldogs’ timeout.
Kills by Madden and Shai Schaefer and a missed kill opportunity by Wheatland extended the Lady Blazers’ lead to as many as 11.
